Ok,
I'm not one for testimonials, particularly since
they tend to be abused and contorted. However,
in the short time that I've dealt with mphone,
I am pleased. Here is why.
Ultimately, 6 or so months ago, when I was trying
to track down the T-39
I currently have, I found one on mphone, but felt
it was too expensive, and bought via www.im****
. I kept a bookmark for mphone however, since
I am horribly addicted to new toys, leeding edge
hardware, partly in light of my job as a security
analyst (testing wireless products is one of my
many hats), and mostly because of my desire for
the latest toy.
I
had a HBH-10 headset with my T-39. It worked fine,
and I liked it, until I broke it. Speaking with
the Ericsson rep here (there are no Ericsson support
facilities in the US, sadly), I found out that
they were going to release the HBH-15.
So, I kept searching for, and trying to purchase
one. I finally put in an order with Ex***** -
where, on their web page they stated 'estimated
7 days' delivery. That was on December 6th that
I ordered this. Just before Christmas, I got an
email stating that delivery for Christmas was
not going to happen because of the backlog in
supply from Ericsson, and would I like the HBH-20.
I told them no, I wanted the HBH-15 and when could
I expect delivery. No response. Finally, this
week, I got fed up, I called Allt*****, and mphone.
Allt***** had no supplies. I found one URL that
pointed to a place in the US - horribly overpriced,
but said it was available. They said (and I quote
to show you how absurd this was) "we sold the
last one hours ago, and expect delivery on some
tomorrow" . Give me a break. Thus, I send the
online email questions (somewhat pointed and even
rude?) about having the product in stock.

kindly ignored my snide remarks and convinced
me that mphone, indeed, had the product, at which
I said I"d take it. This is not the end of the
story - I also became a bit confused with the
requirements for ordering, since I essentially
only have a visa and an amex card. He graciously
helped me with the requirements, and I fired off
the needed documents. And, here we are. a happy
customer, who will not forget the extra efforts,
and , as with my own company - despite that prices
sometimes are higher than available elsewhere,
the level of service supports that added expense,
and is welcome.

and only bought a tiny thing, but I had a very
pleasing experience - much personal attention
